  ABOUT THE CEO
Thinking back over my adolescent years, I grew up in a poor neighborhood with little to no knowledge of the opportunities available in the world. My home life was not immersed in literature nor much conversation or communication. I, like many young girls today was insecure, impressible and unsure of my self-worth. My insecurities brought about many poor choices on my journey to becoming an adult. But through guidance, support, and prayers of others, I begin to realize that I was special, I was great, I possessed unlimited potential and abilities, and that I was destined to be great. I realized that my family circumstances did not determine my future as an adult.  I begin to surround myself by people who cared about me, who supported me and who held me to higher standards. These people did not accept “no’s”, “I can’t’s” and” I do not know”. They challenged me and made me aware of my unlimited potential.
Now as an adult, I am obligated to commit my life to helping young female adolescents know their self-worth and unlimited potential. I am obligated to help young ladies explore options to make choices that will impact their lives in positive ways. I am obligated to be an advocate for and support young ladies into becoming educated and productive leaders in our society. I am obligated to be a positive and committed role model in the lives of young ladies as they make their journey to becoming adults. I am obligated to make positive impacts on the lives of young ladies and assist them in exploring all possibilities.

I believe despite life challenges, when you develop self-worth and self-love, you set a standard/goal for yourself that forces you to begin to explore all possibilities to reach your dreams and obtain your goals. When you have people in your life that support you, show you that they care and encourage you to always do your best and present obtainable opportunities, you develop a mindset that nothing is impossible.  It is my desire and my commitment to be a positive role model and to touch the lives of young girls all over the world and assist them in becoming strong -minded, innovate leaders and productive citizens in this world.

WORK EXPERIENCE
For the past 17 years I have dedicated my life to assisting children and their families. I was an employee of Mobile County Child Welfare services for over 6 years. While there I worked with community leaders in evaluating services in which child welfare provided to the community. We work with community leaders in developing resources that would impact our children and families in positive ways. After years of services at Child Welfare, I decided to go back to college to obtain a degree in Education. This decision was influence by my desire to work hands on with the children and families Child Welfare served and in my mind, what better way to do this then becoming a teacher.  So I hit the books again and worked very hard to obtain a degree in Collaborative Education to become a teacher. While working, I needed more so I continued to work and obtained my Master’s in Collaborative teaching. I have been working with students and their families for over 11 years. I work with students who have been determined at risk for academic failure. My job is more than just teaching…. I mentor, guide, support, counsel, and I AM A FRIEND and advocate of students and families I serve. I work on various committees such as Student Council, National Honor’s Society, Leadership Team, School’s LEA, Continuous School Improvement, Advance Education, Departmental Chair, Student Broadcasting Committee, School Tutoring, New Teacher Interview Committee and Educational Assessments Teams.  I am also a wife and mother of six beautiful children. I have dedicated my life to helping others know their self-worth and tapping into their full potential and I will continue to do this until my health says otherwise.
